Your Lie In April - Episode 3 (Inside Spring)

This episode starts where Kaori and Kousei are at a shop where they eat waffles. When Kaori states how the piano was a happy one, 'grinning from ear to ear', Kousei contradicts by saying it was a sad piano, placed near water and decorated with flowers.

Next, Kaori manages (forces) Kousei to play the right hand for a Mozart song. As Kousei plays, he manages to impress everyone and even wears a slight smile. However, he suddenly stopped, hands shaking and he apologized.

Kaori then tells Kousei that she knew of his situation. She said, "Your playing style was accurate and disciplined - a human metronome." We also learn that he was able to perform with an orchestra at eight-years-old. Then, it's revealed that he is pretty well-known, as he is the one that they all look up to.

Kousei then confesses that he stops playing because he couldn't hear the piano. He says that along the way of his playing, his sound disappear (Okay, in the anime, he described that in a more poetic and dramatic way. No way am I writing every single word like that). Kousei then calls the feeling he feels yearning, and concludes that that was why she sparkled in his eyes.

Kaori then decides to appoint Kousei as her accompanist. She chose to play Saint-Saens's Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso.

The next day at school, Kaori chases Kousei, still trying to get him to play as her accompanist. Tsubaki then decides to help Kaori. During break, the piece Kaori wanted to play was on the radio the whole time and when Kousei entered the music preparation room, music sheet was pasted all over the place. This happened everywhere, it was hilarious. Extremely hilarious.

Kaori then worries whether it really was okay to force Kousei to play. Tsubaki then answer Kaori that Kousei was like a 'hopeless little brother'. She also confessed that she didn't care whether he still played the piano, if anything, she just wanted him to stop at his own terms and be happy.

Strangely, Kaori requests for a stop for Totsuhara University Hospital Entrance. (It's no secret what will happen. I'm sure we all know why she's heading there)

Kaori then risks herself and goes to school to fetch Kousei. She says, "It isn't that you can't play. You just won't." Kousei then reveals that he is scared. Kaori then tells Kousei that her reason for living is to play so that no one will forget her. She then bows for him to play as her accompaniment and starts to cry.

Finally, Kousei agrees.

The moment is spoiled when Tsubaki and Watari appear out of nowhere and started beating Kousei. They rush to Towa Hall with bicycles and Kousei states how everything around him is starting to take on colour.
