Fruit Basket

Hey guys, new admin here. Just joined in a few minutes ago...

I would like to share one of my top 10 animes with u,

Fruit Basket

When high school student Tohru Honda's mother dies in a car crash on her way to work in the parking lot, she decides to live with her grandfather. Renovations on the house and unsupportive and unkind family members cause her to move out of her grandfather's house temporarily and, since she has nowhere else to go, Tohru begins living in a tent and supporting herself. That is, until she finds a home in the least likely of places, inhabited by her popular classmate Yuki Sohma and his cousins Shigure and Kyo.
The Sohmas live with a curse. Twelve members of the family (not including Kyo, who is the cat) are possessed by spirits of the Chinese zodiac and turn into their zodiac animal when they are weak, under stress, embarrassed, or when hugged by someone of the opposite gender.
When Tohru discovers the Sohmas' secret, she promises not to tell and is allowed to keep living with them. Although the Sohmas' curse is deeper and darker than Tohru realized, her presence and her acceptance of them soon becomes a large, positive influence on those possessed by the zodiac. She sets out to break the curse and, on the way, meets and discovers the Sohma's vengeful zodiac spirits. Each has a different personality, just like the animals in the Cinese zodiac. Tohru's existence changes the Sohma clan's lives forever.

In this anime, there's 3 main characters:
Female main character
Tohru Honda (本田 透 Honda Tōru)

As for the male main characters
Kyo Sohma (草摩 夾 Sōma Kyō)
Yuki Sohma (草摩 由希 Sōma Yuki)

Genre:
Fantasy, Romance, Comedy, Drama, Reverse Harem.

I highly recommend this, especially if you like kawaii and funny anime.

Here are some funny screenshots...

So guys, guess who she'll end up with! >.<

Charlotte Episode 1

Charlotte, a creation of P.A. Works and Aniplex, what can we expect?

Plot:

In an alternate world, a small percentage of children are able to manifest superpowers upon reaching puberty. Yuu Otosaka, a boy who awakens the ability to temporarily possess others, hopes to use his power to live an easy going high school life. However, he is caught red-handed by the mysterious Nao Tomori and is forced to transfer to Hoshinoumi Academy (星ノ海学園 Hoshinoumi Gakuen?, "Star Ocean Academy"), where he and the other student council members must help students who have trouble controlling their abilities.
-Wikipedia

Turns out, it has the humour just like in Angel Beats, the art is amazing and the music is amazing as well.

Here, he carefully plans so that he captures her attention.

So, here, we're introduced to the main character, Yu Otosaka, who has the power of possessing someone for five seconds. With this ability, he aces his scores by possessing the smart kids, and he fights people he hate and look at girl's ahem so on.

His attitude and smirk totally reminds me of Lelouch, like oh my god, they brothers or something?

Continuing!

After being discovered by Nao Tomori, she 'invites'  him over to her school, Hoshinoumi Academy, where she and her partner are part of the student council.

Well, 'invite' would be an understatement. I guess she immediately called his guardian and got their permission. I think their guardian is their uncle, considering the conversation between Ayu and Yu.
By the way, Ayu is his little sister who loves stars. Woots.

She can cook too! What a girl, am I right?

But hey, we're also introduced briefly about their family. Apparently, Yu hates their mother and considers Ayu as his only family member.  Sad.

So, we have more characters to introduce!

Nao Tomori, a silver-haired girl who has the power to hide herself in one's vision.

Jojiro Takajo, a guy who travels at a very fast speed until it look like he's teleporting. However, as Yu puts it, it's an 'incompete ability'. And! News flash, this ability doesn't let him land wherever he pleases so he crashed into anything! I'm sure all the hospital doctors and nurses know him by now.

Their personalities show a lot in the first episode, like Yu, even though he's so... 'power-crazy'? I'm not sure actually. Uh, anyways, we're also shown that when he ate pancakes, he was quite happy to find it so delicious just like a little child. He's also a family person, I guess, caring for his sister and whatnot.

Same goes to Tomori, who seems pretty serious and everything but revealed to be quite playful too. She was playing around with Ayu and it was like a sister scenario.

Gangsta. Episode 2

Whew. More introduction continuing from the previous episode!

So, clearly, in this episode, the introduction is continued about 'taggers' which are... an implication of 'Beware of Dog'.

So, uh, we're basically given a run through on Nicolas' abilities and his awesome skills as another tagger tries to 'kidnap' Dr Theo. That tagger, as revealed afterwards is a B/2, which are probably levels of skills or experience, and is helping one of the big bosses I guess...

Here's some pictures for reference:

As I was saying, Nic's tag is A/0, which might be pretty obvious but I might be wrong, which is probably the best. Come on, A when B is lower, and 2 when 0 is higher.

Pretty cool.

We're also given some preview of what it would be like in the future to have Alex working with them, but as for now, working with Worick.

We also have a new character, a regular of Benriya (Handymen), Nina, a nurse working under Dr Theo.

Nina describing Nicholas.

When Nicholas found out he would be fighting a B-tagger or higher.
There's actually some comedy here and there too, which is precious in a setting like Gangsta. Like in Episode 1, where Nicholas robbed the punks money after beating them up. And here, in Episode 2, multiple times we're taken aback by Nicholas' personality.

He seems to be caring, as shown in both episodes when he gave the napkin to Alex, and when he bought soda for Nina.
He also seems playful, as he was toying around with the B-tagger, and when he was playing/fighting with Dr Theo.

It's really nice to have a character with handicaps which allows the audience to awe at how the character adapts and see through his perspective.

I guess when you live in a place like this, you gotta be prepared too, even if you're just a doctor.

Also, next episode we will probably be briefed about 'Twilights' as Nina referred Nicolas as and as the B-tagger was. I'm guessing survivors from war?

Can't wait for the next episode!

Gangsta. Episode 1

Oh my gosh, guys, have you checked out Gangsta. yet?

It's so cool! I mean, only the first episode's out but I'm already hooked in! (fangirling)

First episode doesn't give much of an impression but I'm pretty sure it'll evolve into something amazing. It's basically the introduction to the main characters, and oh my god, it is amazing.

PG 18, bros.

They don't hold back on underworld matters like violence, drugs and prostitution as we can see so far.

And gosh, did you see the opening? It's AMAZING! The edit is like so awesomeeeeeee.

Gosh, apparently the plot is just:-

The series revolves around two "handymen" who take on jobs for both the mob and the police force that no one else can handle. The two, named Nicolas Brown and Worick Arcangelo, work in the town of Ergastulum, which is full of mafia, hoodlums, prostitutes and dirty cops.
-Wikipedia

Gosh, it looks really really cool.

I hope it doesn't turn out to be a shallow anime. Hopefully they'll be a deeper depth soon.

Because you and I know that deep inside, we love those anime with such genre that doesn't hold back.

God, you know what would make this cooler?

If all the things that happen in this anime were based off real incidents.

AMAZEEEEEEEEE

...

...

Impossible though.

Meh.

Don't question those subtitles. The character who's talking right now (Nicolas Brown) is dumb, so he can't talk.
But apparently, his speech is just unstable so it's cool.
Like seriously, it's cool.
Because you gotta see his action man.

So cool.

P.S. More screenshots to come, baby.

BRO. WATCH THIS. (Blue Spring Ride)

AO HARU RIDE

This anime is awesome. Great animation, art and concept. Well, I mean. It's realistic. It can happen to you.

But maybe not as dramatic but hey, this is what we can hope for!

Futaba Yoshioka wants to "reset" her life. In junior high, girls ostracized Futaba because too many junior high boys liked her. The only boy Futaba liked, Kou Tanaka, moved away before she could tell him how she felt.

Now in high school, Futaba is determined to fit in with all the other girls. She acts unladylike so her new friends won't become jealous of her.

While living her new life contentedly, she meets Kou again, but he now uses the name Kou Mabuchi and has a cold attitude. He tells her that he liked her too in junior high, but feels differently now.

(Taken from Wikipedia.)

But basically, after that, they start talking and get to know each other more. The question is: Will love blossom?

MUAHAHAHAHHAHAH.

Simple comparison of anime and manga art.

Just so you know, once you finish the first season, you're gonna be wanting more, so just go straight to the manga! Chapter 16? Not so sure, my memory's all fuzzy with them drama.

So! As you know, some mangas turn their first few chapters into episodes to promote the manga, so please, support the manga after watching the anime! It's a really good story and seriously, just a good story to make your heart flutter and be a lovesick teenager all over again.

It's amazing, really.

Love it.

I honestly think it's quite realistic.

Once you read the manga, you'll get it.

P.S. I like manga art so I'll be putting manga pictures instead of the anime. Forgive me, dear.

TOKYO GHOUL

HOLY CRAP. THIS ANIME. THIS ANIME. THIS ANIME. ADI1@$%@FQ4364562#x#$!@vy%

AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

Yes, I'm always late to follow trends. :P

But who cares. I still watched it.

Oh my god. This is amazing. Straight to the point, and the first episode already hooks you in. Love the plot, the concept, the art, the everything man. Woots! Wish I could just delete it from my memory just so that I can watch it in awe again!

Man, I can't wait for the third season.

But, Kaneki lost his memory in the third season, didn't he? Man, they do that a lot don't they?

Didn't Teito from 07-GHOST lost his memory for a while quite late in the manga too? Ah, but he quickly regained it though.

BRUH. IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THIS, WATCH IT.

NOW.

YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

TRUST ME.

Also, there are censored and uncensored episodes for season 1. If you're able to handle just really gory scenes, like a detached head from a body, bloody battered up body, watch the uncensored immediately.

Because this is what we came for too. ;)

THAT MOMENT.

Seasonal Feathers (Kagamine Rin and Len)

Beautiful story, heart-breaking as usual.

Originated from: Tsuru Nyōbō

In "The Crane Wife", a man marries a woman who is in fact a crane disguised as a human. To make money the crane-woman plucks her own feathers to weave silk brocade which the man sells, but she become increasingly ill as she does so. When the man discovers his wife's true identity and the nature of her illness, she leaves him. There are also a number of Japanese stories about men who married kitsune, or fox spirits in human form (as women in these cases), though in these tales the wife's true identity is a secret even from her husband. She stays willingly until her husband discovers the truth, at which point she abandons him. (Wikipedia)

This is "The Crane Wife". There's another one which involved an elderly couple instead of a man, called "Crane's Return of a Favour". Not as touching as the wife but hey, it reaches your heart.

Started picking it up again and just finished it recently and damn, it is awesomeeeeeee!

Love it, especially the plot twists and planning of characters' development. Oh my, that cliche ending though, right?

Death Note

I just started watching Death Note! Finally, right? It's really, really cool, and it started off really nice as well. I was expecting something classic and old, maybe somewhat uninteresting, but oh my, it kicked off really, really well. The first scene is the exposure of the realm of Death Gods, which is seriously, interesting enough, and oh my, the appearance of Ryuk managed to reel me in as well.
